Death Benefit Insurance    

Cuchullain Credit Union has put in place an insurance that will pay €1,950.00, for an annual payment of €8.00 (estimated) to assist with payment of your funeral bill. This policy extends to all members who joined the credit union before their 70th birthday and some conditions do apply.

The benefit is paid out by the credit union on receipt of the funeral bill and is generally paid direct to the funeral undertaker.

 Loan Protection, Life Savings and Disability Insurance:                                

Cuchullain Credit Union has placed insurance cover on members savings that in certain circumstances will pay out to the nominee or the estate of a person a sum not exceeding €10,200.00.

All loans are also covered and in the event of your death will be paid by the insurance. This benefit is of enormous assistance to a bereaved family.

We also insure member loans so that in the event of a permanent disability arising such that a member would be permanently incapacitated, then their loan up to €40,000.00 would be covered. Again this benefit has been most welcome to members where it has had to be called on.

A further insurance benefit for Cuchullain Credit Union members is the fact that we cover all borrowers until their 85th birthday.

And unless you’ve provided for it, what could be more costly? With the rising costs of medical care and hospital accommodation, healthcare insurance is no longer just a comfort. By joining through your Credit Union Group Scheme, you can avail of a group discount on your premium.

In conjunction with health-care providers, Cuchullain Credit Union have a group scheme facility for members. A member can join the credit union group scheme by quoting the  group scheme number. This will entitle the member to a discount on their annual premium.

The Cuchullain Credit Union VHI group scheme number is 3129.

If a member wishes to join the VHI, an Application Form is available in the office.                                 

VHI wil bill the member directly.
